Co-operative of veterinarians
Olaf Assenheimer (CEO), Christof Ehlen and Dr Kristine Roßbach have formed the Management Board of WDT since 2024. Together, they are working to further develop the cooperative for the future - with clear responsibility and a shared vision: to position WDT as a strong partner to the veterinary profession and to organise the provision of animal health services efficiently, innovatively and sustainably.
Co-determine, shape, network
As a co-operative, the WDT thrives on the active participation of its members. Around 8,000 members help to strengthen the interests of the veterinary profession and further develop the WDT as a strong community.
The members elect the Assembly of Representatives, which elects the Supervisory Board. In this way, the members actively shape the direction and further development of the WDT. The Supervisory Board currently has eight members.
Board of the WDT
Three perspectives, one common goal
Olaf Assenheimer has been a member of the WDT Board of Directors since 2017 and took over as Chairman at the beginning of 2024. The new Board constellation not only entails personnel changes, but also a new organisational direction. The aim is to further develop structures and responsibilities so that the WDT can act even more effectively as a strong partner to the veterinary profession.
Dr Kristine Roßbach, a veterinary specialist in pharmacology and toxicology, is responsible for central areas relating to pharmaceuticals, brands and development. Her focus is on the strategic further development of the product range and strengthening the WDT and Tierarzt24 brands.
Christof Ehlen is responsible for the Marketplace, Practice Supplies and Procurement divisions. His goal is to ensure a stable supply of veterinary practices in Germany and an even more user-friendly shopping experience - digital, efficient and service-orientated.
Olaf Assenheimer
"The WDT is and remains the most comprehensive partner for the German veterinary profession. We want to create as much space as possible for the actual task of caring for the animal and its owner."
