Would you like to become a WDT member? Simply follow these 5 steps.

Please note that WDT membership is open only to veterinary surgeons – regardless of whether they are self-employed, employed or currently not practising.

Become a member in just 5 steps – here’s how

1. Declaration of Membership & Articles of Association

Please download the membership application form and the Articles of Association.

2. Completing the membership application form

Please complete the membership application form. Your membership number will be issued by the WDT; please leave this field blank.

Please note: You must purchase at least one share in order to become a member of the WDT. You can find information on purchasing shares here.

3. Print

Please print out the membership application form and sign the document in the required places.

4. Sending by post

Please post the completed membership application form, bearing original signatures, to us at the following address:

Please note that WDT membership is only available to veterinary surgeons. If we do not yet have proof of your qualification (e.g. via an existing customer account), please provide us with a copy of your licence to practise.

5. Audit by the WDT

We will notify you in writing by post with a confirmation of acceptance as soon as the review and approval of your membership have been completed.

Requirements for WDT membership

Membership of the WDT is conditional upon the purchase of at least one share worth €600. Fifty per cent (€300) of this amount must be paid immediately. If you have decided to join the WDT, we ask that you pay €300 by direct debit as specified on the membership application form or by bank transfer. Naturally, you may also pay more than €300 towards your share immediately. It is possible to purchase further shares, provided that any existing shares have been paid up in full.

The WDT’s Articles of Association form the legal basis for membership. Please post the original membership application form to us, fully completed and signed by hand. Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to submit the form online.
