Today, the Memsen Serum Plant is one of the few European production sites for serums where we manufacture high-quality veterinary and human medicines under certified GMP conditions.
GMP quality guarantee: what is behind the certification
GMP ("Good Manufacturing Practice") refers to internationally recognised standards for the manufacture of pharmaceutical products. The certification confirms that our processes meet the highest standards of hygiene, documentation and quality assurance - a basis for the safety and efficacy of our biologics.
Our laboratories work according to a GMP-compliant quality management system. All products and starting materials used are checked according to strict hygiene requirements as well as chemical and microbiological aspects.
New developments undergo comprehensive qualification and validation processes before they are transferred to production. Changes to processes, equipment or test methods are evaluated and documented on a risk basis in accordance with GMP-compliant change control management.
GMP certification is usually carried out every three years by state authorities and is supplemented by regular external audits. It confirms compliance with binding quality and safety standards and ensures that our products are manufactured reliably and safely under controlled conditions.
