WDT becomes more sustainable - Largest PV system in the Garbsen public grid.
When we started planning two years ago, we had no idea how challenging it would be to realise a PV system in Garbsen. Now it's done: the planning and order to install the PV system have been finalised. And: the PV system will be connected to two combined heat and power units (CHP units) at the site, which have already been in operation for some time. At the same time, we are securing our future with a new transformer and state-of-the-art technology.
The facts
PV system:
- 1,500 modules with 650 kWp output - the largest system in the public grid at the Garbsen site. We also use the latest façade module technology!
- 25 % self-sufficiency
- 280 tonnes of CO2 saved
Combined heat and power plant:
- 600,000 kWh of electricity
- 1.2 MWh of heat - that replaces the entire boiler!
- 25 % self-sufficiency in terms of electricity
- 650 tonnes of CO2 saved
